99 SPX Voltage Issues?

Well, spent all day chasing down a rotary valve. Got it timed, but haven't had a chance to test it out yet as it's a little late! Good news tho, scored this little jewel! It's going to look great flying down the lake with this on it! Super mint condition!

Well it started up on the trailer. sounds really good. i might take it to the lake for a quick shake down. It sounds like on the trailer that there is a hesitation when revving it up. Hesitation = lean, correct?
 
sounds like a dirt bike: din din din din di.......diiiiiin when the throttle is pulled - lean
sounds like a leaf blower blaaaaaaaaat and revs slowly at first - rich. when my accel pump was missing the restrictor and the seats were leaking like sieves i had the latter, it was even noticeable on the trailer.
 
Yeah, it had only been running about 20 seconds on the trailer, maybe it just wasnt warmed up. I have it set at stock settings, im hopefully going to dunk it in the water today before i head to the lake and see if its fixed!

Everybody has their secrets! I bought it thinking that I might be able to find another ski to put it on down the road, it was just too clean to pass up. Maybe I will just build a custom frame and hang it in the garage! HA. I figured, I will never find another one this clean, and I didnt want some goon who has a seat missing on a POS 94 SP to throw it on theirs and beat the shit out of it.
 
Ok, enough secrets.... How does the ski run? Been waiting for a text or a post. Hopefully you're still beating it like a red headed step child.

Well. Still don't know. Runs he best it has run on the trailer in the drive. Didn't have time to take it to the local lake today to test it out, on the way to the Ozarks as we speak so we will see. I will know tomorrow!! I have good home
 
Oh yeah, I love the new seat, but wasn't ready to put it on yet not knowing if I would have to get greasy or not! That would kill me to get it dirty.

So note to everyone, hard starting can be cause by a bent rotary valve as well! So make sure it is flat!

We took the 99 GTI out as well and it ran great as well. Break in is all done, and it rips pretty good. It's nice having a stable 3 seater and not having to worry about noobs flipping it and having the super reliable 720 on it.

Now I just need to do a couple more things. Exhaust bolt snapped off on the GTI, the one that bolts it to the jugs. I'll probably wait til winter to fix that. The freaking latch on the gti broke also, he'll even it was catching some air behind the yachts! And the fuel gauge on the spx works sometimes and other times it reads full all the time. Oh plus I need a 5/16 fuel selector, I ran without the selector and was always freaking out about fuel because the gauge didn't work
