I finally got around to installing my new remaned engine back in my 99 GSX RFI. This all went as planned ready to crack the engine after rechecking all connections. the engine starts and runs several times before starting to load up and stall.
The engine will fire after cleaning the plugs

Is the oil injection pump adjusted correctly?
Are you premixing to oil and fuel?
Sorry I didn’t get back faster did not see the reply, I am not premixing the oil, injector pump is adj per the shop manual. I am now thinking that in might not be getting fuel but just oil

If it is getting too little or too much fuel on your ski I would suspect either the injectors or the fuel pump.

What happened to the old engine?

You say it starts and shuts off several times and then loads up. If you keep running it, does it continue to run just fine?
If you shut it off and start it up immediately and it fires right off, but if you shut it off for a few minutes and it doesn't want to start back up, that can be a sign of a leaking injector. Basically all the fuel under pressure in the lines floods the engine

The old engine had a leaking rotary valve.
I am looking for a Mpem programmer to see what codes me be in play. I suspect that the injectors may be clogged. The manual says you should be able to feel then operating I can’t feel anything. Have not had a meter on ten yet

I think at this point it’s just getting oil and no fuel. I can’t feel the injectors pulsing while turning over the engine. I am going to put a meter on the mep and injectors tomorrow

You mentioned the manual so I would think you have the right spark plugs, new?
What is the cylinder compression?
Battery is in excellent condition?
The RFI only idles on the front cylinder. So check the difference between the front and rear injectors when cranking it over. I would think that the rear injector wouldn't be pulsing as there isn't any spark to it so there should be a difference between them.
Any chance the fuel injector wires are in the wrong place? Unlikely but possible.
Next step would be to check the fuel pressure.
Unfortunately there are a few things on the RFI and DI that don't show up as codes.

Spark plugs are new, I have fire on both plugs when spinning the engine. I didn't know it only idles on one cylinder, I did have my hand on the front injector didn't feel anything. I need to rig up a pressure gauge. Rail has fuel in it and the pump is shutting off as you would expect before cranking

Check out this posting from - KEVINZ Figured I'd let you guys have a crack at this - 05 GTi LE RFI won't run

It sounds like about the same problem you're having. I think you will find your answer there.

Worth checking if an injector plug and the RAVE solenoid plug got swapped. They're exactly the same and easily get mixed up. If I recall correctly, the injector wires are a little fatter than the RAVE solenoid's.
Also, a brand new pair of plugs instead of "cleaned up as you possibly can" sometimes works wonders.

I vote for the incorrectly swapped RAVEsolenoid/injector connectors until further notice. Although I thought the 951 DI was the only one swapped connectors could happen to.
