99 GSX RFI charging problem

I have a 99 GSX RFI that I took out last weekend. The low 12 v light came on, then the battery went completely dead. I removed the battery and had it checked. It checked Ok and took a recharge. Is my problem the rectifier? I removed it today, it is part number 27000124.Is there a heavy duty replacement? What other numbers would be compatible ? I am new to the jet ski scene, so any help would be appreciated---
