98 speedster 717 engine removal

I have to pull one engine out of the spedster the gen is dead...I think im pretty close to doin it but i know for shure i have to undo the drive shaft
..All help is muchly appreciated

aint gotta pull the pump/driveshaft. Thers plenty of room to move it toward gas tank. Undo exhaust, throw it outta the way, undo the lines, and slide ur back and out.

well all went pretty much as planed once i removed the boot clamp on the engine it came right apart.i slipped a 2x4under the front and a 1x6 under the rear and the angle was perfect to remove the housing, ring gear and coil! altho we destroyed the screws holding in the coil. I found some replacements and a 80 coil ...put it all back togeather and were up and runnin...Thank you so much for all your help...
