Hello, I have a 98 seadoo gti that runs great for about an hour, if I'm easy on it. But as I start to have fun and put a load on the motor.. it starts losing power. Cuts down to about 20mph, then eventually about 10mph as I'm limping back to shore. Fuel filter checked, oil filter changed, ran sea foam through it, putting non ethanol gas in and with the correct mixing oil in the oil tank. I can put this in the water every day, and it'll run amazing for an hour if I'm nice to her, and less than 30 min I'm on the throttle heavy and turning. Please help. Thankyou in advance.

Running Seafoam in a 2-stoke is slow death to the engine... DO NOT USE IT !!

TO me, sounds like it's overheating. I'm guessing if you remove the head shell... you will see the cyl's full of sand.

Ok, I will try this first. Thankyou

Will flushing the cooling system with fresh water remove the sand? Or do I need to take the head shell off? Thank you

I would take the head off as Doc says. If it’s plugged up you run the risk of filling the cylinders with water. Also check the oil system to make sure your getting oil from the injection system

I have looked inside the head, no sand whatsoever. I have a brand new jet pump kit installed. All fuel, oil, and water lines have been blown out. It is NOT running rich and it still runs for about an hour when in water. Then it starts to surge from about 2000 - 4000 rpm ( guessing, no rpm guage) untill I make it to shore. It won't ever die.. just surging. Carburetor has been checked and new carb kits installed. Honda dealer says that I will hear a loud beep if it's overheating.. But I never hear it. Ignition beeping when starting works fine. Any ideas? Thankyou.
