98 gtx limited "12 volt low"

I just bought this thing, put a new MPEM in it and new battery, The dess key no longer beeps twice but it will crank and say the battery is low it will ride fine then cut off and when I try to start it it turns over but as if the battery was low. I checked and no fuses are blown not even the one in the rear compartment. I hope I didnt screw up the brand new MPEM
I am stumped,

you need to check your battery voltage, engine off it should be around 12.5 volts, you should see a slight voltage increase with the engine running.if you see a lower voltage withthe engine running, your alternator is not charging. probably a bad rectifier. good luck

turned out that even though the low battery light is on it still ran good I just keep fouling plugs any advice?
