98 gts jet pump issue

I was changing the pump oil and found some plastic tearing away just aft of the impeller. I pulled it out with needle nose pliers and realized it was part of the outer ring of the jet nozzle. I posted a photo of it. Is this a major problem that needs to be repaired ASAP?

need a new one, stud. While ordering one, might as well, order a impellor removal tool also.

Do I need to do replace it ASAP? I would like to keep riding it and fix it this winter!!!! Thanks for your help.

Also is there a good step by step post for this repair.
