98 GTI propulsion problem

It ran fine yesterday but when I took it out this morning it revs up but will only go 5 to 10 mph.Any help would be appreciated.

Check for debris in the jet pump.

Do you have to remove the pump from boat or can it be cleared from the rear by removing the prop?

Seadoo's have "impellers", not props. If you have debris in the jet pump try poking at it to dis lodge it. The only way to get the impeller out is to remove the jet pump assembly from the boat. If you just have a stick or plastic bag in the jet pump, try to remove it without damaging the components.
