That black wire behind the yellow just goes to the ground on the coil. The MPEM ground goes from the coil through the lid to the front of the ski. I would take all the wires off and check every connection, I hate those clips that are on there, you cant trust them. At least then you will eliminate the possibility of one of them being bad. I am no expert when it comes to electrical, thats why I didnt really want to get involved but i had a few pics available that I thought would help.

It will be a bit of work but you need to do what LouDoo suggested and get the battery/starter cables inspected and tested properly. Just pull them off the starter. Chances are you will need new ones so they have to come off anyways.

I feel that your problem is not in the smaller wires of the electrical box, but rather in one of the main wires. Your ski used to beep, it used to TRY to turn over. That means the small wires that carry signal and power electronics were okay. The larger ones that supply power to your starter seem as if they're the problem. It's not a bad idea to make sure all your connections are good, but I still feel that the problem lies in that main negative wire. Maybe it's frayed and/or corroded, and you trying to start it recently just burned it out even more.

One time, I had this one issue where my red starter wire was touching the flywheel (the rotating disc attached to the back of the motor). The flywheel ground off all the insulation and was making contact with the copper inside. This caused the ski to behave strangely when I would try to start it, as the solenoid energized a shorted wire. I don't think your symptoms match these, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure: check the red wire going to the starter as well, and make sure it's routed away from moving parts.

Ok cool, I was just curious as to why it would look like this. But I now borrowed a multimeter from a buddy of mine. So I will pull the wires and check them out closely. Thanks again. I will report back when I've done what you said.

Ok tested wires for voltage. I also have a few other questions as well regarding some other things.

In the image the left red wire that leads to battery. I am getting 12+v. The red wire next to it, is what I am not sure. When I checked it I got 0.00v ... Could it be the reason why I am getting 0.00v from the red wire going to starter because there is no energy being drawn from the starter at the time I do this?

I checked the volts on rectifier I got 12v from the yellow connecters, which I believe is power. Got 0.00v from the black/red wires.

I just checked the fust for continuity and 5A amp fuse was blown. Replaced the fuse. I know get my beeps. When I replaced it and pressed the start button 5 times I got one short beep and one long beep.

That wire will only show voltage when the solenoid is closed, or the start stop button is held down. That is the point of the solenoid. It is like an on off switch for the starter

Ok so with the 5A fuse replaced. I got my beeps as I stated in the post above. This is the next strange part. When I put the lanyard on I get my two short beeps. Press the start button and starts to crank, but still does not start. I tried this a few times. This time I tried a few times and it started to crank. I let go of the button and still continues to crank. I remove the lanyard and still it tries to crank. Nothing will stop unless I physically remove the negative cable on the battery. When I reconnect the ground cable it sparks and tries to crank again no start button or lanyard on the post. Its like its stuck or something. The start button will not turn it off. Any suggestions here?

aww shoot. Could that mean I possibly have a bad starter solenoid?

I was reading something about it being stuck, and someone just tapped on it with a wrench and fixed it lol. I dont know if that was a fix or common with solenoid. I have checked with the spark plugs out still not getting a spark. Still going to check the ground wire tomorrow afternoon on the starter and battery to make sure its not corroded under there.

UPDATE:

I gave it a rest tapped on the solenoid and it did stop. So I now when the ground cable is on the negative terminal it does not try to start. I did another voltage check. When it was stuck I checked the voltage for the wire going from the solenoid to the starter and it read 10+V. So did the other red wire going to the battery. When it was stuck it ran until the battery died. So Im recharging the battery and we will see from there.

If that solenoid is sticking you will need to replace it, to me it looks like someone did a retrofit on it.
10v is too weak and can cause various problems. Readings should not be below 11v -11.3v while cranking.
