Needs a little clean up
Yeah, again my details are eating at me. The grain on that is different than yellow one, and that grain matched the grain on the seat. I know I'm a freak. It's all gotta gel. There is a pair of silver gray on ebay from a jet boat??, but I don't need a pair. Oh, wait yes I do, for the HX twin.
Isnt there a sandbar everyone parties at there? Ive seen pix and it looks like the freakin caribbean how blue the water is. Same or different spot?
Very similar to the nonsense on tonka all summer long... My buddies boat is the Hot Mess straight ahead, you can hear our beetles/NIN mashup over everything else.

There are 2 places that look exactly like what is going on at minnetonka, jobbie nooner and the raft of both are on lake st claire but that isnt near higgins lake. I have been to jobbie nooner and the raft off. It is a party for sure, there are live bands playing on pontoons and a couple boats have just grills and sell food.
Here are some pics of that. Jobbienooner is at gull island
Just use yahoos image search and type in jobbie nooner that will be all you need to know. Its not work safe and this isnt a family event, if you have kids around or if you are at work, MAKE sure safesearch is on. Its like girls gone wild
Here is the raft off. All the boats tie off to each other and make an alley
We are only 20 minutes from that lake. This is where we take our friday day trips.
Jobbienooner is always on a friday, it started out as a day that all the union guys would take half days at work and hit the lake. Now you have to be on the water at 4-5 am to get a good spot

It is pretty cool, the radio stations send out boats with dj's too. So depending what music you like you can just move to different areas to get what you want, but music isnt the deciding factor of where you end up. Everyone knows........Its where the girls are

We put the hood on today. I think it looks good but, I think the stock decal on the grey part may need to go even though it is in great shape. I also think we are going to paint the air deflector silver/grey. Besides that it looks great.
When we were taking the 97 hood apart we didnt realize the start stop button and trim buttons are wired directly into the main harness connector. So to make it easier to run all the wires into the new hood and to make dismantling and reassembling quicker we cut the wires near where the rest of the terminal connectors were and added weather pack terminals. So now the vts buttons and start stop buttons have clips too. So it looks like it would be stock.

I love all of your resto threads... They are awesome. Keep up the great work and I'm sure come spring all of your hard work will pay off!!! As far as the decal... Yeah it has to go.. But the deflector you should leave yellow just shine it up cause you can see the ghost of the decal that was there... Just a thought...
Leave the hood decals and loose the ones under the seat. Paint match the gauge hood to match the bottom of the hood and that would look great, but it's gotta match DEAD ON. That hood doesn't look as if it needs a buff, if you pull those decals you just signed up for a wet sand and a buff, leave that to the next owner. I don't think if you take those off it's gonna make or break a sale. She looks real good!

I sell people start/stop switches and connectors all the time. Prob saved seadoo a dollar and made a guy buy a whole harness back in the day.

My brother looked at it today with the new hood. I asked him if he wanted me to pull the decals or paint the air deflector. He said leave it alone. He wants it the way it is. I am going to wetsand the air deflector then polish it out.
