I have a 97 Speedster with single Mikuni SuperBNcarb with acceleration pump.
The repair manual states that the HS screw be out 1-1/4 turns, but every other source I have found states 0 turns out.
Not sure what to believe, I know that manuals have misprints, and as of now it is set to 1-1/4 turns out.
I rebuilt the carbs with a genuine Mikuni kit, but not the needles and seats.
I just ordered genuine 1.5 needles and seats with 80gram springs to achieve 38psi Pop off pressure as per the repair manual. Also bought correct size jets to replace both carbs.
Also ordered a new accelerator pump diaphragm for port engine as it does not spray when throttling up, which chokes out engines and dies immediately.
So my question is this, I'm going to take carbs out to replace needle and seat, jets and set HS and LS screws. What is the correct HS setting for the 97 712 motor with single carb with acceleration pump?
0 turns out as per every reference I find, or 1-1/4 as per the seadoo repair manual?
