HI All

New to the forum and one year Sea Doo Owner (97 Speedster).

I winterized my boat at the end of last season and removed the battery. Today, I reconnected my hoses, charged and installed battery, and tried to start boat. Nothing. I re-charged the battery and now get two beeps when I put key in. Blower and lights are working but the engine does not turn over when I try to start.

Any ideas? Starting motor??

Thanks for any help!

Phil

Never mind! I had the negative cable and the ground wire on reversed. I switched those 2 cables and started with ease.

I am happy once again.:hurray:

Don't ya wish they were all that easy? I was thinking of the winter oil leaking past the crank rv seals based on the age of your machine, in time you will encounter this and the rolling smoke screen that begins the season.

I have a 97 speedster and yea first start i feel sorry for the people at the pier. There is enough smoke comming out of it to turn from day to night!

Im a little pissed because i had it dealer servided last year and they rebuild the carbs on the port engine. Idiots didnt adjust the pop off pressure, so the darn thing starts, but the only way it will run is if you pin the throttle and work your way back. Pain in the arse. But its odd, my port engine never did run well. shakes alot while idleing and doesnt have near the amount of top end of the starboard engine. always dealer serviced.
