97 Seadoo GSI gauge

Does anyone know how to remove the info gauge on this model? I tried, but I am not sure where to access it from. I want to take it out and see if it can be fixed. No matter if the ski is running or not some things stay on all the time. I am not sure if the lcd is messed up or what. Do you think this can be fixed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Remove the the bottom cover and disconnect the wires. Then you can push the gauge through the rubber support.

I was able to get all the screws out except the two deep ones. What do you have to use to get those out? A 6mm short socket is too short and a 6mm deep won't fit in hole. I also tried an attachment on the nut driver. Is there a special tool for this? Thanks.

I believe it's a 5.5mm socket you need.

I know it is a 6mm socket for sure. Someone said they had to grind a 6mm deep socket to make it work. I would just go buy the tool if they made one. I have tried just about everything else and I still can't get it out.
