97 Sea Doo Speedster

Recently installed 2 SBT motors, one doesn’t idle one will run like a striped ape once you mess with the throttle. I pulled the driver side carb, this motor didn’t idle well. Filter is clean, the needle valve is good, the diaphragm gasket is a lil oversized. I’ve checked for new carbs an rebuild kits. Maybe need accelerator pump rebuilds. Any help is appreciated.

If you don’t rebuild with genuine Mikuni kits it will never run correctly. New needles and seats also.

Agreed. Those single carb 97 models are the best to work with too. Other year models have 2 carbs per engine. Make sure the settings are the same on each engine after the genuine parts. The cables can be adjusted when you pull the controller up as well as on the carbs themselves.
