97 gtx any input?

I'm looking for some input. have a 97 GTX 130HRS. after getting the carbs adjusted as Seadooya said it ran great for aprox 1/2 MI then flashing 12 v low. the mag cup broke all the bolts but one. this looks like a well made engine! I'm in the north so season is over. decided to remove engine and take a look and go throught this winter and hopefuly have a dependable ski next year! what was found comnpression 130 PSI each cyl, the seal on the crank Mag end was protuuding out, going deeper, the seals on the balance shaft were shifted out of the correct position and had a set to them was not from removing case half, the carrer for the ballbearing on the PTO end was missing and betwine the next bearing.the PTO piston and head have some damage from somthing that was in the cylinder not sure what that was?
All 6 crank bearings are bad. what do you seasond riders recomend rebuild or new short block? and how many HRS can I expect to get out of this ski. we have two 1200 yamaha 800+ Hrs and not a problum yet. again this ski is new to me but would hope that the low Hrs are not a norm for Sea Doo?:bigear:
