I have a 97 GTX that runs great but ignition shuts down. I have to re-insert the DESS, re-start, ski may run for another 10 secs., to 30 mins. whatever it feels like doing w/ motor hot or cold. I have cleaned all connections, except main battery cable to starter. I looked at it and it has rubberized paint on the nut, washers, stud and terminal. I thought I would do more harm than good. Its a brand new battery, so I thought maybe I had a bad cell. I swapped with another new battery from my other ski and it does the same thing. Its not more susceptible with bouncing, turning or as if something is heating up. Occasionally I will get a "12volt low" warning. Coil box is clean, I re-cleaned and die-elect greased all terminals. Front box is also clean, good fuses, was thinking rectifier, however the battery has a full charge and tests good under load. I still think its a bad ground somewhere... Could it be the DESS switch? Beeper is burnt out, have new one ordered, maybe it will give me a code?
