97 GTX speedo problem

I just took my 97 Seadoo GTX out for the first time and noticed that the speedo was not working. both the Digital and the Analog were working. I'm assuming the pick-up mounted on the back is bad. are there any other places I should look?
I also have a 96 XP that I'm parting out and am wondering if the pick-up on it is the same as mine.

probably got a rock or something, stuck in paddle wheel. the 96xp one, will work.

the paddle wheel spins freely so if the one on the 96 will interchange, I headed to the garage to change it out..:cheers:
to bad it will be next week before I can see if it fixed it
