97 gti stumbles off idle, feather the throttle runs great

My 97 gti stumbles off idle but after you feather thr throttle is takes off and runs great. Good compression, Carb rebuilt with mIkuni kits, nre fuel strainer, new fuel selector(last year). The fact that it finally takes off has me thinking popoff? I rebuilt the carb a couple of years ago and set popoff to spec but I don’t remember now what it was. Is that where I should start?

I have a 97 GTI and it had the same exact issue. I never got the issue fixed before the top airbox lug broke due to the carb to head support not fitting well. To me it looks like SeaDoo knew there was a problem and they worked on in subsequent years. In 98 they went with a bigger pilot, more low speed screw and an accelerator pump. I bought a replacement carb and it is the 99 version. I also corrected the bend angles on the support bracket. Runs flawlessly.

Turned the low speed screw 1/8 turn in. Idles a little different but idles fine. Runs like a scalded dog.,! Thanks guys you are nothing short of awesome!!! I would have torn back into the carb
