well yesterday i went to crank it up before i took it out to the river and the battery was dead so i charged it up and i had trouble getting it started and when i finally did it was running very rough and smoking REALLY bad and also had some oily water come out the exhaust. i also pulled the spark plugs and they were covered in gas and oil so i replaced them and after a few times of turning it over it was heavily covered in just gas. any ideas on what it could be?? had some people tell me it sounds like it could be a blown head gasket

thanks

That would be a good trick, since your engine doesn't have a head gasket. The domes use an O-ring... and all it's doing is sealing in the pressure.

If the head hasn't been removed... they almost never just go bad.

Also... since it's a rotary valve 2-stroke... the head and it's seals don't really have anything to do with fuel or oil.

OK... if you have fuel just pouring into the engine... I would be pointing my finger at the needle and seat in the carbs. But... knowing seadoo... I'm going to say your problem is either the center crank seal, or your rotary valve seal. What is happening is that oil from the center gears, is leaking into the crank case... and fouling the plugs.

If you get it cleared out... and running... you will probably be OK until it sits for a few weeks... then it may foul again.

If it's the crank seals... you may have to live with it until it's time for a full rebuild.

thanks man.....as you can tell obviously im not very mechanically inclined lol yea it was sitting up for about a month and a half to two months but thanks for the help man
