Please watch/listen to this vid clip. My 97 challenger is stalling from idle. Orig i thought it was weak spark, but it will stay running on either cylinder. As you can hear, it appears to 'choke' and stall as i throttle-up from idle.

Any suggestions?? Please help!! Copy and paste the link below to watch. Sorry for the quality, taken on my iphone.

Yaaahhhhhhhh...

The engine wont go past 3500 RPM's when in neutral.

Put it in froward and try again.

BUT... it sounds fine to me for bouncing off the rev limiter.

One more thing... you really can't tell anything about how an engine is running if you don't have a load on it. It needs to be in the water.

Thanks for the prompt replies...and I got my fingers crossed for a water test tomorrow!!

To backtrack, I suspected that it was weak spark some time ago. Using a spark tester, I felt I proved I had weak spark on one side, and nil on the other. I replaced the ignition coil, plug caps, clipped the wires, and started it again. I forgot about the rev limit in neutral and assumed i hadnt found the problem (the reason i posted the video above)....i started leaning toward carb problems, though they have been cleaned regularly. When u guys replied, i just ran outside and spark-tested again with the new coil, and voila, it lit-up the night. I started it, put it in forward and it revved awesome. it appears I have fixed the problem, thanks in large part to you guys and others on this forum. I'll know for sure tomorrow, and will update this thread then.
