Not sure what happened but checked my mag cylinder and have only 35 psi in it and the pto cylinder is 150, Just bought and now looks like a rebuild.

So, took head off to find piston dome pitted and looks like the ring has melted. Now what??? Not sure if the sleeve has enough meat on it to bore , what is exceptable wall thickness???? The way it looks is that someone rebuilt one cylinder and not the other, is that possible and why , Why not do both while your there?
Anyway looking for someone to do the bore job and match to pistons and relieve the raves if needed. Anybody know anybody good in Michigan ? Full Bore in Alpena? Are they good? Help , never did a top end rebuild on one of these, is it hard? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have not broke it down to the case as of yet , but no piston debrie on the top of piston , so maybe caught it before it got too bad , not to say what it looks like after I pull the jugs, a little scoring on the cyl wall but not real bad.
Not sure how it got hot , but pitted dome is kinda leaded me to think mixture was too lean.

with pitted piston, i'd inspect the play at "journal" area. Possible, a shim let loose. Buddies just went, and cracked the bottom of case.

no, because, as fast as it enters the bottom end with the gas, it gets tranferred up to top. It doesnt have "oil" sitten in case area, except for rv assy, which, as long as seals are good, then keeps it within the rv cavity
