quick question guys... my 96 xp has been having a problem with goping up to full idle.. it works when it wants to lol which has lead me to believe it is an electrical problem... in my last thread, it was suggested that i remove the red wire from the rectifier. i did this and it improved the length that the ski ran perfect for.. in other words before the wire it would run great for ten then stop for a while... then run great for a couple more min... but after disconnecting the wire it would run exceptional for a half hour and then stop for a while... until the last time where it ran great for 45 min.. then stopped running good for the rest of the day?
if anyone could tell me what the rectifier does and what disconnecting the red wire does it would be great...
PS>.. i went through the carbs, replaced all fuel lines, fuel filter, added an inline filter, and cleaned the tank immacilaute.. spark plugs replaced too and battery lol
