96 XP fuel problems

Hi, Just got my 96 XP out for first time this season. Replaced all the gray fuels, cleaned the carbs. Ski ran great for about 30 minutes, so I started playing in some rough water and wakes when it started surging at all rpms. Would not reach top speed, almost like it was not getting enough fuel. also had to give it throttle to keep it idling, but start back everytime. Any help thanks.

compression test and if good, replace the plugs.

Had the same thing happen to my 97 GTX, it was the computer harness connection was coming loose from the jumping wakes. It would start, run die start run die, till my mechanic traced it to electrical and plugged the connection in good and off we went.
