96 xp 3 long beeps

i have a 96 seadoo xp when i hook up the lanyard it does the regular double beep then three longer beeps and the temp light flashes with the beep then goes off . and it will not start
 
3 beeps in the advanced diagnostics is a ground on the lanyard post.

Just for giggles.... disconnect your battery for a few minutes, and see if the code goes away.
 
i unhooked the battery and it started several times but it doesnt help now .if that doesnt work could it be a bad temp sending unit
 
Two beeps mean mpem confirms the key is correct and ignition is on, ready to start. A long beep means a wire conduction loss.
Press the start button five times to bring the diagnostic beep code and read the manual. Read Recent posts on the subject, below.
