Left engine starter spins but the yoke assembly will not fly out and engage the flywheel. I've disassembled starter numerous times and cleaned brushes, commutator, lubed yoke assembly and cleaned up with wire brush.

New battery so power does not seem to be an issue. Any suggestions on how to fix. I'm missing out on lake time and it's killin me.

Also, does anyone have a link for parts that are reasonably priced? 278 dollars seems high for a starter from seadoowarehouse.

OE starters are expensive... but the $80 eBay starters don't live very long.

If the Bendix is free, and there are no burrs on the shaft... it should pop out... so I'm not sure what to say about that. sorry.

Bad solenoid or bad ground wire

Be careful of the ground wire it is hidden and must be continuous between the 2 batteries and the ground.
