Hi everyone,
I am a new owner and have just run into our first issue. Have a 96 speedster that runs great but had started to cavitate more on the left motor than right. Left motor buzzer started to go off so we shut down. Now in water motor would not start. Out on trailer fired right up. Brought it home and checked compression 130psi in both motors. Started to loom at the impellers thinking something was picked up,they are clean. Looking into this I took them out and found they are 2 different part #'s. In checking this year should both be the same unlike a 1995&down than ran different. What harm will this do? Should I replace them with the same #'s or the correct by year? The wear rings are worn and I want to replace seals and bearings while in there they seem a little worn also. Someone has definitely been in here before. Help with what I should do? I like this boat and don't want to damage it. I also hear everyone talking about how fast rheas are. Ours won't go over 30 mph. Could these be related to the impellers?

whats the #'s on the impellors?...either way, 30mph, is to slow, for that boat, if your rpms are good.

those are for the 95 speedster. Just replaced with same #'s. Got solas impellors, if interested.

What are you looking for the impellers? I would replace bearings, seals and wear rings also. Do you think I harmed the engine?

Ok have more bad information. Found out previously the one motor ran with overheat buzzer for a couple minutes. Could this be caused by a worn wear ring? I have checked again the compression and all equal both motors. I don't see any signs of overheated damage. What else should I be looking for?
