Hi Guys...

A friend has a '96 gsx which ran well until it was dumped over. He flipped it back over and had it towed to shore (he said he couldn't get it started and ran the battery down trying...). On shore he pulled the plugs and it didn't seem to have any water in the cylinders, although he had several inches of water in the hull. Now he can get it started and it will run but it won't idle. If left to idle, it will stall. Any thoughts as to what or why...??? What should he look for...???

Thanks !

sounds like water in fuel or bad plugs--get it running and run it hard to dry up any water in crankcase to prevent rusting of crank/rod bearings. replace spark plugs. compression test cylinders. clean carbs. sounds like water in fuel or bad plugs
