96 gtx Pto grease fitting

Went to grease my pto and found the zerk fitting was not on top but under. So now I will likely need some kind of adapter for my grease gun. Is this typical of the location? Thanks

If its like my 2001 GTI you can rotate the PTO by hand or start the engine and stop it and see if you get lucky and it ends facing up

Or pull the spark plugs, and turn the PTO by hand.

Simply crank the engine a bit,,,

yea, I pull the plugs then just hand turn it.
