96 gtx fuel gauge/sender

Hello to all, brand new to site and would like to thank all for great posts and information available. Have problem with fuel gauge on 96 gtx. Gone through all checks everything is as it should be. Removed float from baffle and put it in cup with water and it sinks. Question, is this float replaceable or do I need to replace entire assembly? My seadoo dealer says entire unit but I've read on posts that a float is available. The part number I got on a previous post was 295-500-438. Would like to save a little money. Gray fuel lines will also be replaced, should I use 5/16 for all or 5/16 for 8mm and 1/4 for 6mm. Thanks and looking forward to hearing back.

6mm = 1/4" 8mm = 5/16" You can just by the float kit, like this one. I did. Great!

Bills86e Great information thank you so much for the quick response. I will order this and give it a try. Have a lot to learn about these things also have a 2001 gti with a few problems and i will post at a little date. Thanks again Billy
