Hi, I put a new fuel sending unit in over the winter and now I am trying to start it, it wont start. Turns over thats it. When I first fueled it up the fuel gauge was working, now it says fuel is empty. I have a 1/2 tank. Im 99% sure I put the 4 hoses back on right, but I might have gotten something wrong. Maybe I have air trapped in the system? What can I do to troubleshoot this? I tried spraying lube in the area to see if it would run on that, and it still doesn't start.

thanks
Joel

Remove airbox, supply line to carb, put supply line into catch bottle. Remove carb
return line from carb and air-chuck a little pressure into it, gas should easily flow &
is now primed. Loosen gas cap and flow will stop. Put lines back on, put a little pre-mox fuel into carb throat and start engine. Bills86e

more details

Hi Bills86e,

thanks for the advice, is the airbox the same as the air intake?

Also how do I know which on the carb is the supply line vs return?

Lastly "air-chuck" does that mean blow some air into the return? (use mouth or compressor?)

thanks
Joel
