A friend of mine dropped his seadoo off for me to take a look at. At first I thought it might just be a bad solenoid, if you jump it the motor will spin. After looking into it the gauges are not working on the console and all wires are hot on the solenoid except for the main red that goes to the starter. When I say that all wires are hot, both of the wires that plug into the solenoid are hot even when the key is not on the ski. I am thinking it may be a ground problem because a couple of times I would test a black wire coming out of the MPEM and you could hear a beep coming from the gauges. I let someone borrow my manuals with the wiring diagrams and I am getting them back tomorrow. Has anyone run into a problem like this before with the solenoid? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having similar problems too. Got power in the MPEM and rear electrical box. I've got power on one post on the starter relay but nothing going to the starter. I don't get any beeps when plugging into the DESS post and my guages don't come on ever.

Not sure if the starter relay is bad and not sure why I'm not getting the guages to come on. I've tested the DESS post and think it is good (though I bought a used one off of ebay just to make sure).

ideas

make sure that the battery is fully charged seadoo uses a electronic ignition to send spark from the pick up coil to the plugs to get them to fire. A battery that is low on charge maybe the problem. next i would run a jumper across the selenoid to ee if the starter turns if it turns slowly you maybe pulling to many amps and that could be causing your selonid to trip out.
