Hi guys this is my first post here n also my first pwc I bought the craft a couple of weeks ago and I'm just sorting out a few minor problems with the ski n getting her running as best I can, I'm no stranger to Electrics and mechanical things coming from an automotive background however Google hasn't really helped me on this problem except for turning up 2 results for people just as confused as I, I've sifted through the manuals that I've found but to no avail, so was wondering has anyone else experiencd or dealt with this problem? From what I understand the hours are recorded by the mpem and so far I've not found a technical paper or trouble shooting ref/manual for this.

Any help I receive will be greatly appreciated guys and I thank you all in advance oh and it's a 787 GSX not a 951 limited

Yes it is, you can read the number of hours on the ski from the information multi gauge, digital readout, just press the mode button until you find it, 4th. press, I think.

Lou

Read the title again please the hours show as 4 dashes i.e ---- as opposed to 150h

I would start with disconnecting the gauge, and the battery... and plugging it back together. (just to try to reset it)

I've only seen/heard of this one other time... and unfortunately... I don't remember what the outcome was. You may need to take a trip to the dealer, and have them hook into the MPEM with their BUDS system.

Thought as much ill haul her over next week sometime unless i find a solution, will try the disconnect later as ill be doing fuel lines and fixing the pick up later weather permitting (bloody uk lol) also after reading some of the stickies i see your pretty much a resident guru here dr honda n quick question, speed sensor, i believe it was optional on my gsx so if i was to retro fit one would it fit to the existing ride plate and should any/all the wiring be in place for this?

Thanks lou will look into using an analog clock if retro fitting a sensor to the digi clock proves too problematic

Maybe its default setting once the ski goes over 9999 hours as it cant record anymore :biggrinjester:
get a replacement of off ebay , if it cures it good , if it doesnt then return it.

nothing would surprise me with this ski bud lol i suppose i cant complain though its only small things that go wrong with it, nothing major and still clocks 56-58... touch wood lol
