96 Challenger Engine idles only

Hi folks! After three seasons with no problems, I finally am stumped with by jet boat. Last Sunday it ran fine for about an hour, then after idling along the shore for a while it stalled when I tried to throttle up. It restarted, but again would only idle. I limped two miles home at an idle. Since it had been working fine, I am trying to find out what could cause this sudden change. Thanks for any help you can give!

sounds like you fouled out your spark plugs i would give that a try first

Replaced plugs, still not right!

I replaced the plugs and filled the gas tank (to be sure it wasn't that I was just low on gas!) the engine still started fine, but would not let me throttle up... until I tried holding the choke open! With the choke open, it would rev as high as ever. I am wondering if it isn't the fuel filter, but I'm afraid it might be the fuel pump. Any ideas?

Fuel delivery problem
Clean the inline filter, pull the carbs and clean the internal filters.
While off clean carbs really good.
