So here the problem, when I start the ski and try to accelerate, it will take off but lags when I try to give it 50% or more throttle. It will sound as if I were haulin balls, but the ski won't get up and move any faster. Sometimes it will just take off like it should from a stop, but most of the time it sounds like its struggling, like something isn't grabbing?? If I hold the throttle at like 50% and keep it there for a minute, the ski usually grabs and then will take off and take me around the lake all day, but if I let it go back to idle, then the lagging will start over and I have to do the same thing to get going again. Can anyone please help????

So the motor is sounding good? like no bogging or anything? Could be worn wear ring and impeller. When this happens you get cavitation so even tho your gunning it hard on take off your machine just cant get enough water in and out the back. Just a thought. Can you provide any more info?

Thanks for the reply! So, yes the motor sounds good and not bogging, just the ski not moving as fast as it sounds. Like I said if I hold the throttle long enough, it will like grab and go.
