What is the big deal about this motor and it being so bad? What goes wrong with it, and is there any way to prevent this?

You should get a responce soon I hope. I believe that one of the moderators that would answer your questions may be on vacation as I have not seen any of his post lately his name is Louis or seadoosnipe. Is this a di ski?

when you ask if its di..do you mean direct injection....oil is mixed with fuel with the oil injection?

There is a ski out there that i do not know much about it is a di model I believe it uses a compressor to help fuel injection and I read alot of problems with it. I guess it is just something else to go wrong and people seem to have isues when trying to repair. I have no idea if this pretains to you.

DI or RFI...?

There are several threads that discuss the difference between the DI and RFI models.......again, throughout the forum. I've read several good posts..
