95 xp wont start

Checked the plugs, are wet with fuel, dried, reinserted, checked fuel filter by tank, cleaned out small debris, need to replace grey fuel lines, I am also going to rebuild my carbs, how do I verify I am getting a spark at my plugs?
Thanks in advance for any help. And also when I look down the throat of my carbs should I get fuel with the engine off when I press the throttle? Also I only found one fuel filter located by the tank? Are there supposed to be some by the carbs?

The fuel filter are inside the carbs so you have to remove the carbs and take them apart to get to the internal filters

Remove the plug caps form the spark plugs and insert 2 spare spark plugs into them and lay them on top of the engine (leave the original plugs in the engine). Crank it over & check for spark. Do not check for spark this way without the spark plugs in the head because if there is any fuel in the crankcase, if will blow out and ignite (how do you think I know this?).:blush:

You will not get any fuel into the throats of the carbs when you press the throttle. No accelerator pump on your model.

Is there a good method of cleaning out the fuel selector valve?

Or is it worthwhile to buy a new fuel selector valve?

i'd bypass it. Cap the "on" spigot off the fuel tank, and run the "res" to inline filter, then filter to carb.

I have cleaned and rebuilt the carbs and reinstalled. Is there a prefered way to get the fuel back down to the carbs. ive cranked with the chioke closed and havent had any luck.

I have a 95 xp. I just did a top end rebuild. I am getting spark and fuel to the plugs but it won't start. What's the deal?

The "preferred" method is to pull the choke and crank it over. Maybe you're sucking air somewhere in the fuel system.
