Just bought a 1995 XP. It came with some Sea-doo oil that I used up. This stuff is way to expensive for my taste and with an older machine. Can I just use some outboard 2 stroke oil? If not, what is less expensive? Thanks.

I just drained my 95 seadoo XP today cause the mechanic used TC-W3 and its not the best oil for our machines. We are suppose to stay away from that and TC-W2 oils. There not extremely bad for your engine but not the best choice. I just purchased some Amsoil interceptor synthetic 2 cycle oil API-TC its about $11 a litre in Canada. You get what you pay for in performance. It makes a huge diffenernce in performance and life of ur engine. At least thats my 2 cents.

Absolutely NOT, do not use TC-W3, personally I would stay with the SeaDoo oil, but if you want to save some money Quicksilver PWC, API-TC synthetic blend is good, Walmart carries it.

how much damage tc-w3 or yc-w2 can do on a 787? i am going to take to look at a 97 xp on Thursday to buy and the owner said that she ran
redline oil the whole time she had the ski (original owner) which brings up concerns because i was trying to research redline and none of them say api-tc! the only pwc redline oil i saw on the web is tc-w3. has me very worried! it is worth walking way from? please help!

Red Line has the new contract for SeaDoo oil, previously it was made by Castrol.

thanks! i did some digging and found that red line makes all sports and smokeless which are both API-TC low ash.
sounds like pretty good oil but man it is expensive!. so being that seadoo has switched to red line would i need to flush the oil tank reline to seadoo oil?
