My dog constantly knocks my lanyard off with her butt. Could I get a switch from another brand ski and switch it out? I have a universal lanyard. My xp is non chipped or whatever. The clip on lanyards seem to stay on much better. Mine comes off so easy. Thought about a zip tie to tighten it just a little but if ever checked I'd get a ticket if they noticed.

you can but the other styles break if you fall off, i tried the same thing on a 93 sp for a customer and it worked until he got thrown, it snapped the switch surround off.

1) honda and yami use the button style, and those can be pretty snug, but they don't mount like the dess post (on the dash) they generally mount on the handlebar's from my experience, so it would take some creative work to set it up that way, I've never seen it done. but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

2) zip ties on seadoo key's are actually pretty common, they get loose over time, and I don't think you'll get a ticket for it, or you can just buy a generic key pretty cheap, like $30 ? a couple of guys sell them here as do most dealers, I think atlantis makes them too.

i'd start with a zip tie and see how it goes, or tell your dog to face forward :)

the button stye is what we tried and because of the angle of the switch onto the dash it kept breaking clips and finally the edges of the button.
