Has anyone else experienced the bolts coming loose on the manifold? We've just had the jet ski serviced and it goes like a boeing but after about 15 minutes of use the bolts holding the exhuast to the manifold come loose. We've taken it back to the service centre who have used loctite on the bolts but it does not seem to be holding. The bolts are brand new too.

Loctite...?

Are you allowing the proper cure time on the Loctite for a good set? If so, then it seems your bolt holes may be wallered out a bit.

Have you tried lock washers?......If you have new bolts that match the hole size and using Loctite, then it should hold. Look at your cure time. If your not waiting the time for a cure, this might be your problem.

also check the lower bolts and rubber dampners that hold the pipe
these lower mounts get worn out and allow the top bolts to work loose
mud

Another option is to drill & tap to next larger size. Grab the pipe and pull in opposite
directions to see if you have broken one of your (4) motor mounts. The vibration is
definately not good. Hulls sag over time & useage and the drive out of alignment
can cause this, but worse, it wears and fails the crank bearings!
