Hello everyone,

Let me start off by saying the ski starts well, runs well, VTS works, etc.

I am having an issue with my 95' SPX. When i purchased it there were a couple small puddles inside of the hull that were a liquid with a consistency similar to a thicker lubricant. The fluid is clear in color. It looked like there may have been a little oil mixed in as well.

Yesterday, I was moving the ski in my garage and I had it tilted up so that the ski was maybe at a 30 degree angle, with the bow being up. I noticed a small puddle formed behind the ski. I figured it was just water. Though, I double checked and swiped my finger through it and it was definitely some sort of clear viscous material. I set the ski back to level to check where this liquid was coming from. I was assuming it had been coming out of the exhaust but it wasn't.

The leak seems to be coming from where the black plate along the bottom of the hull (ride plate?) presses against the bottom of the hull.

Any ideas?

Thank you for your time!!

Randy

The two small lines from the Oil Injection Pump to the two RV houseing Injection Spigot's should be replaced every 2-3 years because they become brittle, crack,
or break, then engine failure occurs. Bills86e
