95 sportster will start and idle but thats it

Went out today, left the ramp and the boat ran great for about 40 min. then it just died, I pulled the plugs and they were good, I got it running but it would only idle as soon as i would give it any throttle it would just die. So we had to idle back to the ramp about 8 miles :ack:
Fuel filter is clean, plugs are good, im thinking carbs but not sure, any ides would be welcomed.

I'd say your thoughts are right. The carbs got plugged up somehow.

Since you don't have gray fuel lines... it's not going to be very obvious. The carbs have a little filter built into them... and it could be plugged. Or the pump in your MAG carb can be going bad, and it's not flowing enough fuel. OR... the fuel select valve can be plugged up. (common since it's before the filters.

By any change, did you turn the valve to the reserve to see if the boat would run?

I did turn the valve to reserve and it did not change how it ran, i guess I will pull them off today and start looking and cleaning. should be a fun day.
