Hi all
Just took our newly aquired 95 Sportster to the lake for a week of fun. The overheat buzzer though wouldnt stop so I pulled the wire as even cold it would go off. Water was going through the system and even after a good run I could still touch the head and pipe which werent even hot. Then the last day on our way back in (nice timing as I was pulling the boat out anyway) the V-band clamp on the tuned pipe snapped. My questions are is this a indicator to a major problem? and is the clamp an off the shelf item? There is no shop manual for this year available here and I cant seem to find a reference to it online. Thanks.

move please

sorry for wrong section. Would a moderator kindly move this to jet boat problem solver please :)

part number

I cant seem to locate a part number for it. I ran the clampco number but got nothing. I am thinking it is just a standard 4" v-clamp I can get off the shelf.

It should be a regular clamp. Look on McMaster Carr or Granger for one.

As far as the over heat... get that sender replaced. You don't want to cook your engine.
