95 Speedster transom flush fitting

Does anyone know if I can update the transom flush fittings on my 95 speedster to the style used on the 96 that will accept a 3/4" garden hose? They want about $30 bucks for the flushing adapter and I think that is too much.

Go to Home Depot in the Garden Center...if you have any in Canada, that is. They sell for under $5.00 usd. Get the green ones.
