2weeks ago I rode my seadoo and it was having a hard time starting,a couple of hours later tryed riding it again and all it did was click like the starter wasnt kicking out and then it would not do nothing so I changed the starter bought a new battary and still wont do nothing. I checked the fuses checked the solenoid everything looks good and even checked the ground off the starter. I think either my stop and start button went out or where I stick the key has went out. Help please:willy_nilly:

Where would the relay be at? I changed the start and stop switch and it still did nothing, but it would start if you hold the start and stop switch and jump the solenoid with a wrench but it would only run for a second or two than cut off... Why wouldnt it stay running? What else could I look at or try?:willy_nilly:

the "solenoid" you jumped, thats your relay. Replace it, and go hit water....;)

Thanks so much I am going to try it tomarrow I will let you know what happens I am a female who is not mechanically incline lol thanks so much:blush:

turn a wrench, and cook!!! Waittaminute, didnt mention, you can cook....;)

Save time, pull the relay from the 98gs, its the same unit, and plug IT in the spi.

I tryed pulling the solenoid from my Gs and didnt work someone told me it could be the empe or something like that so I just broke down and made a apointment for the shop to get it dignosed :svengo: man I hate spending money but you gotta do what you gotta do Thanks so much for the help though

alright, when you installed the relay from the GS, did you make sure, the little red wire in there, went on the same post, that you connected the cable from which the battery cable went to?
