95 GTX wont turn over

My son was riding in the waves and then the engine died would not restart. Got really wet inside engine compartment.
Acted like battery was no good, just clicked. Replace battery and same thing. Sounds like starter solenoid is clicking but starter won't take off.
Any ideas??? Starter looks like its hard to get at.

With plenty of light, a mirror, and a good set of metric tools, and YOUR SHOP MANUAL...........you can easily conquor the close quarters in a half hour. I suggest
you remove plastic drive cover and remove *plugs and see if PTO hand turns first
to see if engine is locked up from internal moisture/rust.

Put a wrench across the starter relay lugs to see if that turns/spins engine. If so,
the relay is bad. Part #278000513. That old of a ski might need new starter brushes
and internally cleaned.

I will have another look.
I just looked at a breakdown of the electrical box. I noticed on the backside there are 4 wires connected, if I remember right I think a couple of the connectors are off the back side of the box. This may be my problem. Maybe the wave crashing made these come off??
