1996 seadoo spx wont turn over just one big click need help

Me any my dad got a 1996 spx looks fresh out the dealership worked great used it a few times on water than died in middle of lake thought it was the new battery we put in it because we didn't charge it but we charged it up and it just clicks now. We replaced the starter and solenoid. Please help

First thing is to pull the spark plugs and the big gray plastic cover on the back of the engine. Then use the big white flywheel to make sure you can spin the engine over a full 360 degrees by hand to make sure nothing mechanical is locked up.
