After top half rebuild i wantet to start the motor for test.
First time it cranked good, second time there is only click from the solenoid and the starter does not do anything. I checked the voltage at the starter when start button is pressed an I dot the same voltage as the battery.
I removed the starter and tested with the battery - it givea big apark at the terminal of the battery and starts to nturn but slow and the gear does not move forward.

What I can do about it?

Thank you

I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking. What's the voltage across the battery? Also what's the voltage across the battery under load, when you press the start button?

when it was in the ski there was no drop on the voltage - ~12.3v

When I did the test out of the seadoo with the batery I did not checked the voltage /only two hands in stock ;) / but since there is a big spark I believe there is voltage drop since the load/current is high

my meter can get up to 10 A but I think the current is more than that so I can not mesure it, but can see the voltage drop if it makes any difference

EDIT: Did the test to see how much is the voltage drop - it is only 0.11V - it gets down to 12.19v

BTW how much has to be the voltage of the battery to consider charged?

Is it possible that since the battery stayed for 3 weeks to have it discharged?

As far as I know if the battery is weak under load it should drop the voltage drasticaly or I am wrong?

Take both to auto part store and have load test done on both. A starter kit is around 25 bucs.

I opened the starter and the problem looks to be that the brushes are stuck and do not move so no good contact with the rotor.

I ordered new brush kit and brush holder plate

Hope that this will fix the problem
