Hello - I have looked at the other posts on this and have not found the answer. When I start if there is a slight bog and it does not seem to get to quite the top speed but other than that things run pretty good. After about 20 minutes it gets a lot worse. You have to feather it to start off from a dead start or it just bogs out. Once you’re on plane and about half throttle it rides ok but from about 75% of throttle and up it really starts to surge constantly going up and down.

I have had the carbs and fuel system professionally rebuilt –no change.
I replaced the check valve a fuel release valve - no change

Any ideas on what to look at next?

Thanks

Does it feel like a transmission slipping? Check the wearing ring. It surrounds the impellar. The distance between the ring and the leading edge of the impellar cannot be any more than .040".

Fuel Selector Valve

Have you replaced the gray fuel lines, fuel selector valve ?

No I have not looked into replacing the spark plug boots. How does that effect the machine after it runs 20 minutes? If they were not working as they should would it not be something that is a constant issue?

If you had a high resistance connection the heat from the motor could make it worse.

You don't need to buy new boots or wires, just clip the cable tie, unscrew the boots, clip about 1/4" from the end, reuse the same boots, and new cable ties.

I don't know if this will help, but its easy and cheap to do.
