'94 XP Smoking

OK I rebuilt carb and changed plugs but now after starting I get way too much smoke. Haven't actually ran in water to see if problem persists so...is the new springs from kit the problem too? Please advise:bigear:

re-install the springs, that were originally in the carbs. Dont use the ones from the kit. ALso, double check your oil pump, make sure the alignment marks match up.

Okay, I guess I have to pull all carbs when I get back home. But I have another issue, what or how do I know which springs originally came from the '94 and which was from the '95. I'm asking because these are all mixed together in a bag when I removed them....would be real nice if they were the same.
