Ok I am narrowing this problem down, I think. When I choke both carbs with air filter covers it will idle but rough. Then it will go all the way up to 7k rpm and stay there till I shut it off. All my lines are tight, where can it be leaking from? I had to remove the intake and rotary valve housing to remove the carbs to rebuild them, could a vacuum leak develop from the rotary oring? Where do these things get vacuum leaks?

Is it getting fuel?? I shut my fuel off once and tried to drain the carbs.... bad idea. It started to rev out of control like your saying and only pulling the choke would bring it to shutoff.

The gasket between the carb and the intake is probably not sealing. Double check and use sealer if need be. Make sure bolts are pulled down even and set to the correct torque.

Thanks you guys for the help, I also think the gasket between the carb and intake is the culprit, I ordered the gaskets at lunch today and will pick them up tommorrow. I will let you know what the results are.
